Peace by Believing is a Christ-centered outreach ministry that was founded in 2007 by the Redmond family. The purpose of Peace by Believing is to help people who are hurting in life and searching for peace. The name of the ministry is based on Romans 15:13 which says, “Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” While Peace by Believing has a multi-faceted outreach emphasis, the media aspect of the ministry is currently and primarily funded by the members of First Baptist Church in Pasadena, Texas.
Peace is a wonderful thing. Everybody wants it, but not everybody has it. In fact, the Bible teaches that real peace can only be found through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. When we place our faith in Him, our hearts enter into a state of calmness, tranquility, ease, and rest. These words describe peace. One of the clearest verses in the Bible, Romans 5:1, says it this way: “Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” When our faith is in Jesus, peace enters our hearts.
There are many people who are looking for peace in all the wrong places. Some look for it in relationships. Others look for it in money. Still others try to find peace by going through religious rituals. Peace, though, true peace is not found in any of those places. True peace is only found in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. In Ephesians 2:14, we read that “He Himself is our peace.”
Our desire, and the primary purpose of Peace by Believing, is to help as many people as we possibly can to find peace by believing (trusting) in Jesus Christ. Through prison ministry, helping those in need, and radio broadcasts, we hope to get the life-changing message of forgiveness, hope, and peace to as many people as possible.

We especially encourage you to click our “Spiritual Growth” link where, among other things, you will find a good number of helpful booklets on a variety of topics. Our prayer is that God would fill your heart with His peace…the peace “which surpasses all understanding” (Philippians 4:7).
